Colorado Land Management Company GAEA Energy Advisors turns to Texas for business opportunity

Denver, CO, April 30, 2019—Colorado-based Oil & Gas (O&G) Land Management Services Company
GAEA Energy Advisors (GAEA) is opening an additional office and expanding services in the O&G-and business-friendly state of Texas. The new San Antonio office will open officially on May 6, 2019.

“Opening a new office in a state friendly to O&G allows us to better support our Texas clients. The San Antonio office is also physically closer to the Texas basins where we currently manage assets, i.e. the Permian and the Eagle-Ford” said Jeff Karcz, President of GAEA. “This additional location will give us access to a large pool of the finest Land Management Services specialists, i.e., Landmen, Lease Analysts, Division Order Analysts, etc., and meet growing demand.

Molly Vogt, GAEA’s Vice President says, “Luckily for GAEA, an increased demand from our Texas clients
coincided with the passing of anti-O&G industry and anti-business bills by the Colorado state legislature.
CO SB19-181 was only signed into law by Governor Polis on April 16th, 2019, and we have already heard
from concerned clients that own assets in Colorado basins. We still don’t know when each community’s
new processes and costs for O&G exploration in Colorado will be announced. It’s all a great unknown.
And, as we all know, uncertainty for businesses, workers and investors stalls progress and harms our
economy.”

According to Molly Vogt, “SB19-181 will crush the very clients we seek to help, small and mid-sized O&G
companies that run a lean Land department so they can compete with the majors who typically have
greater resources and larger profit margins. Uncertainty over regulations and costs disproportionately
hurt the little guys. As our clients look to diversify outside of Colorado, we must, too.”
